SSL Overview

So you want an SSL certificate but aren't sure where to start? Well this is a good place. Each of these steps has a link that will open another page to explain that step in detail.  When you complete a step, come back to this article for the next one.

  1. First you will need a dedicated IP.
  2. Then you will need to create a Key.
  3. With a Key, you can now generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR).
  4. Use the CSR to purchase a certificate.
  5. Then you can install the certificate and CA bundle, if applicable.

It might sound complicated, but it keeps your customers data transmissions safey encrypted. If you'll follow these steps through it's not too bad. And if you have questions, we're here to help.
