How to disable ping request?

If you are looking for the  steps to disable ping. Please find the steps below.

Run the following command to disable ping request to your server.

echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/icmp_echo_ignore_all

You can also do the same using IPtables. Please run the below command if you want to disable the ping request using IPtables.

iptables -A INPUT -p icmp -j DROP
